Tokyo Game Show 2012 exhibitor count announced

171 exhibitors attending, 68 based overseas.

The CESA has announced exhibitor and booth counter, as well as ticket details, for this year’s Tokyo Game Show.

This year’s event is expecting 171 exhibitors and 1,592 booths, far exceeding last year’s 1,250 booths. Of the 171 exhibitors, 68 are overseas companies (last year saw 63).

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, July 11 at 10:00 a.m. Japan time. “Advance Tickets” will cost 1,000 yen (tax included). “TGS 2012 Supporters Club Tickets” will cost 3,000 yen (tax included). Benefits include a special t-shirt and Tokyo Game Show Supporters Club pin badge. Tickets can be purchased at shops such as 7-Eleven, Family Mart, and Circle K Sunkus. Children of school age and under can enter free of charge.

The Tokyo Game Show will be held from September 20 to 23.
