It could only mean games this gen are awesome, or that Famitsu standards are definitely lowering. It’s up to each and every one of us to figure this one out.

Truthfully….how good can this on rails shooter which requires a bulky stand for your 3DS actually be?

It blows my mind that Ninty always gets a pass on stuff like this. I have a drawer full of useles SH** that goes with years of Ninty systems. Nothing frivalous either. You need a classic controller. You need a nunchuk for every WiiMote. You need Motion Plus. The Zapper is the only dumb extra I purchased but only b/c Links Xbow training was actually fun.
Finally took the hit and traded all WiiMotes in for new colored MotionPlus built in WiiMotes. Have yet to upgrade my Classic Controller to the “fancy” revision. Stupid Mario Kart wheel. Stupid Charging Cradle.
And now we have the CPP and this Icarus Stand to add to our 3DS?
The WiiU has a tablet and still needs WiiMotes for other players. Cant wait for a 3rd revision of the WiiMote, now with more waggle that is inbound.

All that annoyance with Ninty was set off by an overblown Famitsu score for what admittedly looks like a fun 3DS game. Just a little tired of the NinClutterto add ons is all. No one ever mentions these things in articles. I’m guessing Ninty provides journalists and fanboys with special Mario Themed Storage trunks? Maybe a Wardrobe that leads to the Mushroom Kingdom?

Anyway….note to Famitsu, Sony makes great games on a handheld that mops the floor with the add on riddled 3DS …..how about a little love guys?
Nah….Mario never gets old where as new IP sucks! Yep.

Oh okay. They’re up to 19 perfect scores handed out, and Skyrim also got one. Never mind then.
