@punkmike:

I played MaSatTTaTLOG on Wii for about an hour or so. A couple of things that turned me off it were:

- Just like in it's prequel, they're still using the same old sound clips for the characters. We're talking voices from 2003 and earlier. They didn't bother doing any new voice content for the characters. That made it pretty stale.

- They haven't bothered touching character models at all. They look exactly the same they did 9+ years ago.

Those two things might have been OK back in 2007, but it really makes it look cheap now.

Some parts of the game they've put effort into. But others it makes you feel like they weren't interested.

And yeah, I haven't played the 3DS version. But a score of 34/40 does seem a bit much for these games - when you consider all the great games that get a much lower score.

@AdamBoy64: I guess I can understand that. I still don't that justifies the score that famitsu decided to give it. I mean there are bunch of games that I can name of the top of my head that are fun to play with friends and are way better than Mario and Sonic.

@punkmike: They are fun with a few friends. I can't see the single player mode appealing to many though..

It's the sort of game one would pull out with friends around.
Personally, I have had a lot of fun with it's prequel.

It's famitsu... I'm pretty sure they don't actually play the game when rating them and just decide on the score based on how much money the publisher is willing to shell.

Damnit! I hate saying stuff like that...
