In reply to KingKelloggTheWaffleHaggler.

@KingKelloggTheWaffleHaggler: I stole a FXAA + Sharpen filter that was intended for Skyrim lol.

I was originally using the FXAA alone, but then I found out about the Skyrim FXAA + Sharpen. I intended to use it on Skyrim (but it slows my laptop to a crawl unfortunately), and so I just replaced the FXAA I was using on Halo with the Skyrim FXAA + Sharpen.

I forget which one I downloaded specifically (should've bookmarked it, but it's probably in a PCGamer or RPS article anyway), so I uploaded the one I'm using here: http://www.mediafire.com/?31e1urdgasx6r30

P.S. I adjusted the sharpen filter with this line from: #define Sharpen_val0 3

to

#define Sharpen_val0 7

I still play the original on PC. I play the Custom Edition and use a widescreen mod to play on my laptop too (singleplayer and multiplayer). And thanks to custom post-processing filters, I can play the game with FXAA and a cool sharpening filter than just slightly exaggerates the Halo visual style to make it looks fresh again. I would take a screenshot, but I haven't figured out how to do that with the post-processing filters in the image.

It's still my favourite Halo. I dunno how the Anniversary Edition is (I don't really like the new art that much honestly), but I still love this game. If the original Halo came out today, I'd give it the same score I'd have given it in 2001. I think it's just a very, very well made game in all respects, and it feels so smooth and is just plain fun.
