Sal’s Blog: It’s my birthday today

Going to eat a lot of food

It’s August 13! You know what that means? Yup. It’s the 225th day of the year. It’s also the 74th anniversary of the start of the Battle of Shanghai. But more importantly, it’s my birthday!

I won’t be around most of the day. Later on tonight, some friends and I are going out to eat at Applebee’s in Times Square. Looking forward to chowing down on a big, juicy burger. Possibly with bacon. Oh, and those onion rings… I’m salivating just thinking about it. I love food (it helps me live, you know!).

After that, we’ll take to the shape of the night. Whatever happens, happens. But it should all be fun, regardless.

I’m probably going to end up buying a PlayStation Portable with whatever generosities I receive. The PSP-3000 core pack sounds like a good deal to me. With the system in-hand, I can finally get around to playing some of the Japanese RPGs I’ve been missing out on. I’m talking Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Persona 3 Portable, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, and of course the recently released Final Fantasy Type-0 trial. I’m giddy with excitement!

I was thinking about buying a 3DS, too, considering the price drop, but its lineup (so far) wouldn’t keep me as busy as a PSP would. Right now, the only released game on 3DS that interests me is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

But I digress. Anyway, I’m going to get dressed (I’m still in my sleepwear). I’ll catch you all in the comments.
