@Jrukia: Yea I actually do believe that MvsC2 had better characters and yes I do believe that the controls (the way the game plays) makes it inferior to the previous games in the series. The only thing this game added gameplay wise was the X-factor, whereas it simultaneously took away 3 whole attack buttons (although to be fair MvsC2 took out the medium attack button), the variable cross, many character favorites such as: Psylocke, Gambit, Megaman, Captain Commando, Hayato, etc. etc. I am not looking for things wrong in the game so much as implying that this game is more a spiritual successor to Tatsunoko rather than a real MvsC game. I still find the game fun, but find myself going back to the first and second games more so than the third. People may complain that 2 was unbalanced and what not, but so is 3, which is why one of the things included in the “Ultimate” version is a balance update.

Oh and about them releasing the game outdated for a new system, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they aren’t stupid enough to release the original. I mean this is just a retail listing and Capcom hasn’t even announced it officially yet.

One last thing, I’m not saying that YOU can’t like the game, characters, or keep buying the revised releases, I’m just giving my view on the change, and while I found it fun for a little while, it still doesn’t beat the originals to me.

Anyways, Capcom wont release a game that is outdated for a new system. They released SSf4 for the 3DS, so they will most likely releasse the updated version for the Vita.

@Jrukia: First of all (don’t know if this comment was directed at me too but) I have a strong dislike for most shooters and in particular, military shooters. Second, I waited 10 years for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 also, and you know what, I’m still waiting. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is NOTHING at all like the Vs. series from which it derives it’s name (Xmen vs Streetfighter, MSHvsSF, MvsC1, MvsC2). The controls are simplified to heck and back, the online is almost as basic and barebones as MvC 2 on the dreamcast, and imo the characters in 3 (besides Dante, Pheonix, and Viewtiful Joe) cant hold a candle to the ones in 2 or even 1 for that matter. If anything Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 was Tatsunoko vs. Capcom 3 – Tatsunoko + Marvel, and while somewhat similar in the way they look, PLAY completely different.

Oh and about the 12 characters = 40 bucks thing, I’m not saying anything at all about that because I actually think its good bang for your buck. What I’m saying is that if this release for Vita is not the Updated version considering it will be the latest release (hopefully) they are ripping off their customers. Though regardless if I buy the game it will be used anyway considering how they treated the other fanbase that waited 10 years for a game and they announced it exclusively for an overpriced portable only to cancel it after a year of getting peoples hopes up.

@anime10121: Yea, they are being royal punks. I’m actually avoiding Ultimate MVSC3 simply because I’m afraid of a new version being announced like a few months after. Their business model is borderline abuse of customers… and not to be a douche, but I pirated SSFIV:AE for PC, because I just don’t know, you know? I don’t want to waste money.

@Rafi: nope they’d rather you buy the original and then sell the ultimate version 6 months later.
