So tired of that bullshit, sorry, but I am. Japan has always had creative studios making fun games. Now, all of the sudden they think they need some magical formula to make those same games. Just make the same fun games you always have, and release them worldwide. If people would stop treating gaming in Japan like its a problem, and serious business, then perhaps they could just continue to make new fun games, and the problem would fix itself.

I remember a few years ago they had a stupid round table discussion about how they needed to fix gaming in Japan. That was stupid and incredibly boring, they don’t need to change anything. So gaming in the west is more popular and profitable now? So what? It isn’t like games in Japan are not making money anymore.

You can’t always be the best, or number one. Once you reach the top, the only way to go is down. That doesn’t mean you freak out and stop doing what got you to the top in the first place. Sony is no longer the clear cut dominating company in the console race, not like it was with the PS2. They didn’t panic, and despite the bumpy road with the PS3, they stuck with their guns, and kept doing what made them so successful to being with, and look at them now. They are doing pretty damn good.

I’d also like to see more JRPGs for the consoles. I don’t mind if they are more old school either. Just so long as they are fun.

@legendarydynasty1992: It won’t come in late 2011. FFXII-2 is scheduled for December 2011 in Japan. They wouldn’t launch the games within the same time frame.

If anything, I could see mid-2012 work for Japan.
