Kaos Studios, Digital Warrington shut shop
THQ has ended the lives of two of its internal studios today. The Manhattan-based Kaos Studios, developer of this year’s Homefront, and the UK-based Digital Warrington, developer of the Juiced franchise, have shut shop in what THQ describes as a “strategic realignment.”
“THQ continues its strategy of aligning the best industry talent with the company’s marquee franchises,” the company told Gamasutra.
“The Montreal studio will take over product development and overall creative management for the Homefront franchise. The Montreal studio actively collaborated with Kaos on Homefront,” the statement added.
The company is now hiring for its Montreal, Vancouver and Austin, and have said that those let go at Kaos and Warrington can apply for these positions.
Homefront senior level designer Zach Wilson has said on Twitter that “most of the devs [from Kaos] already have jobs with new studios.”
