Well, I am a firm beleiver in freedom of opinion. When I said I felt ‘depressed’, it was a simply a figurative stament to my apathy at the trailer.

Personally, I find COD to be a bad business model, and in it’s current state, way past it’s sell-by.

Anyway your right, I didn’t expect anyting different, honestly!

Same old? I am tired of hearing this. What changes do you want to the franchise? Its a FPS. Any changes you make would have to be dramatic to make a difference and then it would alienate the fans. Second, it has done a good job of mixing things up with vehicles and even little creative strategic moments such as in the B2 like Bomber in Black Ops while your navigating a group of people.

So I don’t see how you can feel depressed and what you expected differently. What you seen in the trailer is Call of Duty. I would say the same with any franchise including Battlefield 3. Do you see any dramatic gameplay changes? No. It still looks like Battlefield from the first two, 2024, and the Bad Company games.

The funny thing is that BF3 is hyped simply because of its graphics and it being a true sequel departing from Bad Company. Has anyone raved about creative different gameplay? No, people love Battlefield for what it is and people love Call of Duty for what it is. Both titles to me? Are going to be awesome.

Well to it’s defence, it certinally looks nice graphically, and that glimpse of a boat/car chase looked great.

However, other than that…it leaves me feeling pretty depressed. ‘Same old.’

I think it was actually leaked early, but most trailers usually are these days.

I’ll have to see more before I judge the game, but it doesn’t look like it is going to stray too far from the past titles.

This is making me miss the glory days of Command and Conquer… seeing all the burning Western cities and submarines and such right in the harbours… that’s so Red Alert 2 if I’ve ever seen it…. lol.

I’m holding a grudge against EA until they manage to really revive the C&C series… starting with the canceled Command and Conquer Tiberium!

Also they have to release SC5, come on EA! Sitting on a damn gold mine! If that isn’t here by the arrival of Playstation 4, somebody is gonna get slapped… lol. Maybe they are waiting for all the horsepower to make full 3D cities on consoles… I hope that’s the reason.

Oh yea… Call of Duty… I’m sure it’ll be fun, but just too many of them for me. I can’t keep up.
