It’s just amazing how much press this has received. It’s like everyone just forgot about the 360’s (previous) 33% failure rate.

At least no one had to box up their PS3 and wait a week or more to get it back.

I haven’t either.

I guess it really doesn’t matter. I mean they ALL have the defect.

I’m guessing Sony’s going to issue a firmware update to fix all this. I wanted to get in more Star Ocean today, so I hope they do it soon.

News about this is all over the British tabloid press and radio right now. I hope Sony fix it soon, the papers are becoming very sensational (as always) and almost saying it is a consipacy!

As for me, I havent [dared] switch on my launch 60GB today just in case this happens. Thankfully I beat Heavy Rain last night!

If you check the newly designed Playstation.com site you should still see your trophies… hopefully.

I didn’t fire up my PS3 for anything other than the God of War III demo so I didn’t notice anything missing. Then again I didn’t fire up any games then noticed that my trophies were missing.

As for the site redesign, it’s okay. I like that they’re using more white space than the ominous, dense black and red but it does appear to at least be more user friendly.

I played Bioshock 2 today. And now i can’t get any trophies. :( When i check my trophy collection Bioshock 2 is gone….

@TezChi: I had no problems with heavy rain.

I hope that this fixes itself when the PS3 clock comes back into the second melaninum.
That being said,hopefully we don’t end up losing our trophies as a result of this mess. I feel bad for people all over the world who don’t have internet and might never not

I did have a number of freezing problems with Heavy Rain actually, for example staying on the loading screen forever or losing the sound altogether. Maybe it had something to do with this?
