The Japanese sales for the week of December 15th through December 21st have came in. The DSi is a big hit in Japan selling the most sales with 204,144 units moved. In our next-generation arena, the PlayStation 3 leads the Xbox 360 sales selling 39,136 units in comparison to the Xbox 360’s 12,914 units. Hit the jump for the list of units moved for each platform.

  • DSi: 204,144
  • PSP: 145,957
  • Wii: 131,054
  • DS Lite: 50,308
  • PS3: 39,136
  • Xbox 360: 12,914
  • PS2: 8,662

Wow, more Nintendo domination, I would never have guessed it again. No really, the DSi will now officially make every Japanese person buy their 3rd Nintendo DS. Overall, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 have their usual poor showing in their own rights. Just wait until the next JRPG exclusive comes out and they will maybe reach 50% of the Wii or DS.
